This is the first scene I wanted to draw from Deathly Hallows. The end result doesn't look anything like it does in my head - I envisioned a much closer view of Harry's face in the covers... another time when I can convince someone to pose the right facial expressions for me!

I wanted the view to give a feeling of falling.

"She had made her g's the same way he did: he searched through the letter for every one of them, and each felt like a friendly little wave glimpsed from behind a veil. The letter was an incredible treasure, proof that Lily Potter had lived, really lived, that her warm hand had once moved across this parchment, tracing ink into these letters, these words, words about him, Harry, her son." Chapter 10, DH

This is lovely! Really wonderful representation of the scene.
My god, I LOVE your pencilwork. You convey such a great feeling of depth and substance. The subject is also wonderful. Thanks for sharing. :3
This is beautiful, the shading is fantastic..and you have really caught the bittersweet feeling to this scene. I just love the pencil work and it just made me realise how dark and deep the book really was compared to the first one.
This is amazing, really stunning!
That really is beautiful shading. It gives new feeling to that scene for me... makes me want to cry all over again. :'(
